It has never been our aim to become the largest studio, just the very best.
All areas of the restored nineteenth- century mansion and the new studio buildings are bathed in direct sunlight, in contrast to common practice in most studios.
The reasons for this are understandable: after aII,
acoustics has its own laws,so that sound and daylight have always been great enemies.
Together with sound specialist Jan Matthijs
from the acoustic bureau Matthijs Accoustical Advice, the architects Hilde Daem, Paul Robberecht and Brigitte d’ Hoore made a special point of looking for solutions which produced
an outstanding result and fully satisfied our philosophy.
